My three-month experience at Boost as part of the marketing team has really been an adventure for me. Jumping into the recruitment world out of nowhere, I felt anxious but excited about the role that I would take on. Although there were challenges along the way, this was truly an invaluable experience that has allowed me to meet with a group of people that are so keen and devoted to what they are doing. Here are three things that I want to share with you about what I’ve learnt at Boost Agents.
It’s true what they say, #teamworkmakesthedreamwork, especially when it comes to juggling two projects like Next Gen Dinner Series and the Dx3 Ambassador Program. Although the engagement managers have their hands full placing candidates in our clients roles, everyone banded together to make these two extraordinary events happen. Boosters rallied to attract more talent to apply and volunteered their time to interview candidates of Next Gen Dinner Series on weekends. It really showed that when you care enough, what you do transcends the idea of work.
#2. Constant learning
What I learned from Boost is that in order to do stay abreast of current trends in the industry, you need to constantly learn. Utilizing all possible channels to absorb knowledge like a sponge. From attending industry events to Boost’s own Lunch n’ Learn program, the educational atmosphere that is created and valued at Boost is so essential, it reminds me how important it is to stay curious and open-minded. Similarly, I’ve learned that what exceptional candidates stand out from the pack because of their passion for never-ending learning.
#3. Stay true to who you are
One last thing I learned from Boost is that great work comes from an alignment of who you are and what you do. Sitting among recruiters, I saw and heard how they helped candidates to find jobs out of their genuine hope to help our candidates achieve more success. Our work at Boost is about an enjoyment and satisfaction from helping people, which will keeps us motivated everyday and all day.
